Life In General

I worked for 14 hours yesterday. It was pretty crazy. I normally work a 10-hour day but we had returns that needed to be done yesterday so that meant finding the books and CDs and taking them off of the shelf and processing them through the computer then taking the labels off of them. I got to work at 8:20 AM and left at 10:30 PM. My manager appreciated that my coworker and I stayed so much that he said we would be getting not time and a half for all overtime hours but double time! I worked 6 hours of overtime! If they want to give me more money I'm not going to say no. Things have been better at work too, which has been nice because I'm not feeling sick every morning thinking about going to work anymore, if I feel sick in the morning it's for other reasons.

I went to the Delirious? concert tonight. It was amazing! My friend Jessica picked me up from work and then we went to the Olive Garden for supper (so good!) where we saw our Pastor's wife, Eva; I love that lady. We then went to the concert and had an awesome time of worship. I was able to get really good tickets because we were selling them at the store. I was opening the store the morning the tickets went on sale so I was able to set a couple aside for myself and then sold a ton of them that day to other people. Working where I do has its benefits!

I'm heading out to Pembina Valley Bible Camp tomorrow evening with the youth group from my church. I'm really looking forward to. Our speaker is a really animated fellow so it should be interesting to hear what he has to say as well as to see how the youth respond to him and his message. It should be a really great time of fellowship and worship and just having a great time! I just pray the weather is good enough that we can go horseback riding because I've never gone before! I have a picture of myself when I was really little on a horse, but I don't remember it, so actually going and being able to remember being on a horse would be nice! We have a good number of youth going out and it's my prayer that they each draw nearer to Christ this weekend, as well as all of us leaders, and that we all draw closer together.

I start school on Monday. It's been a while since I was in school last and I didn't really do a very good job of actually attending class in university. I'm taking a legal assistant course that is 9 months long. I'm going to be done February 28th! That's soon, if you think about it! Anyway, my class is Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM. I get a couple weeks off in summer and then time off at Christmas and then I'll be starting my internship end of December or beginning of February. I'm going to do very well - this is me telling myself that with witnesses so that I now actually have to do very well! It's required that I attend all of the classes, it's okay to miss one or two if I'm sick, but I'm really going to try hard not to miss any at all.

I went to the bank yesterday to get money to pay for school. They approved my loan today! It's good to have good credit! I'm going in tomorrow to sign and then the money will be in my account. Once the money is in my account I'll breathe a sigh of relief! I've been so busy lately that I hadn't had time to get to the bank earlier to sort out the whole money thing, so while I wasn't worried about it I was thinking about when I would have time to get it done. I'm getting a student line of credit with a really good interest rate and it's more then I need, but I like to have a little extra as a safety net.

Oh. I want a laptop! I found one that's on sale right now and is actually really good considering I wouldn't be using it for designing stuff or anything! I may be able to get it too! Now I'm done!
