Dang

I just watched the Winnipeg Blue Bombers game against the Edmonton Eskimos. It was their first game of the regular season, Toronto and B.C. played earlier today with B.C. winning that game 24-22. The score for the Bombers game was 39-39 after going into 2 overtime games (that means that both teams had 2 chances to make the plays needed to get a touchdown and a convert - both teams managed to do so once).

At the beginning of the game the Bombers seemed to not be there while the Eskimos, mostly Ricky Ray and a rookie player named Tyler Ebell, were most asuredly there to play hard. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with Ebell, he was able to move fast and to move well. He knew where he needed to be and when to make make the play. Ricky Ray (you have to say his first and last name together because it just sounds better, go ahead and try it!) made his passes to start off and Kevin Glenn (Bombers Quarter Back) managed to make pass for pass. It seemed that the two teams were going back and forth. Some of the plays were less then inspiring but there were a couple made by both teams that were pretty good. While I wasn't happy with this particular play the Eskimos did make a pretty sweet return at one point... I was, however, pretty happy with the two turnovers that the Bombers were able to pull out! It wasn't the best game I've ever seen, but it was entertaining and I look forward to seeing the rest of the season!

I'm going to see about going to a game either on the 5th of July or the 13th, I'm hoping both! Oh man, that will be a good time!

Jessica - I was most certainly singing our football theme song all day, in fact, I still am!

I say we either fire Westwood or set fire to his house. Either way, fire needs to be involved in how we respond to his abymsal playing. 1 for 4? Even I can do that.

Thanks Jessica!! You are awesome too, but it really is horrible that you forgot to sing! Hahaha! If I'm able to get the 5th off then we'll be able to sing before the game, during the game and with the WSO at halftime! I think it's an awesome idea that they had to have the WSO join them. It's a great way to expose the WSO to people who may not think they'd like it.

I agree with you Chris, Westwood's playing really was abysmal, so while I wouldn't normally agree to the use of fire on personal property (though the suggestion of it does amuse me more often then not!) in this case it may be warranted! I'm wondering if it's his hair though. 1) it's nasty looking, and 2) maybe he'd actually do a decent job if it wasn't so stinkin' long! Maybe it's his hair that needs to be set on fire! Is that mean, do you think?! At any rate, it was one game, if he does't improve then I'm all for him being fired... in whatever sense of the word you'd like to use!
