My Dad

It's my dad's birthday today! Some of you know that my dad is pretty old... now those of you that weren't aware know too!

My dad is 71 years old today. He was born in 1936 in a small town and grew up on a farm.

I love my dad a great deal. He's taught me many things, among them to respect myself and to know that I deserve the best. I know that I've let him down, and myself down, in not demanding to be treated with the respect and dignity that I deserve and to make sure that the people I spend my time with have integrity, but I've also learnt about grace, forgiveness and unconditional love from him.

Thanks dad, you're the best and I love you. Happy Birthday and MANY happy returns!
